Saint Olympias was named after her mother. She was born in Constantinople of illustrious and noble parents. Her father was one of the most honorable senators, named Anusius the Second, and her mother was the daughter of the glorious Ablavias the eparch, who is mentioned in the miracles of the hierarch of Christ, Nicholas, for he was the first after the emperor in the days of Constantine the Great. This Olympias, the daughter of Ablavias, was first betrothed to Constantius, the youngest son of Constantine the Great, who took the kingdom of ancient Rome after his father. HISTORICAL

Through the zeal of the parish priest and the active involvement of the faithful, the parish has become a place of communion and spiritual edification, where children, young people and adults gather around the Holy Mysteries, prayer and Romanian tradition. On holidays, but also every Sunday, the church is filled with prayerful voices, causing the seeds of a living and working faith to bear fruit in a foreign land through love.
